About this event

Dr Simon Pike will explain his growth into the QA role, leading to business excellence. The construction industry was a relative latecomer to QA principles and its business benefits compared with many other industries and describe the role of the SCCS. He will provide examples of where things went wrong and how his team solved them, the implications for management systems and the business benefits of the adoption of standards such as ISO 9001/14001/45001.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Pike’s career spanning 32 years, principally in the steel industry covering process and product development, quality improvement, quality system development and implementation plus customer technical support, including international collaborative committees at a senior management level.

Since 2009 he has been Chair of the Steel Construction and Certification Scheme, (SCCS) an auditing business in the construction sector and is a consultant to the steel industry.
